Gyumri Free Walking Tour

Gyumri, the second largest city in Armenia, is the city of arts, theater and movies, the city of the most famous sportspeople and comedians in Armenia. The first free walking tour in Gyumri will take you to its old neighborhoods, hidden places, interesting historic streets, squares and parks telling you funny and fun stories, of its famous people and their contribution to the Armenian culture and history. Our local Gyumretsi guide will be more than happy to show you her city.

Can we join the tour late?

No. We want you there from the beginning and pls be on time.
Which days?

In this season, only on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, but by reservation only.

Where do we meet?

By the entrance to the Museum of National Architecture and Urban Life.

For the time being the tour is available only in English.

How long does it take?

Around 2 hours.

How many kilometers does it run?

Around 3 km.

Is it an easy walk?

Yes. But this is a 2 hours walking and standing tour. So, please be sure that you can do it and come prepared for that.

Why is it free?

Free walking tours are done almost everywhere in the world nowadays. Guides don’t get paid a fixed salary. Participating travelers don’t pay anything up ahead, but tip the guide at the end. It’s up to the traveler to appreciate the tour and decide how much to give. You are free to pay as much as you want.

Can we pay by card or any other electronic payment system?

No.
